    Missioning Empty Missioning

Post  Mortaliton Wed May 06, 2009 5:57 am

There are hundreds of places to mission, each of them starting at an agent. The difference between mining and missioning is in missioning it is possible to blow up your ship, which in mining you cannot.

Agents have different level attached to them ranging from 1-5

Lvl 1 missions- (Frigates, Destroyer)-These are the easiest and basic missions in the game consisting of all frigates with an occasional cruiser. These missions are mostly to teach you the basics of the game and to earn you a quick buck in the process

Lvl 2 missions- (Cruisers)-This is the next step up in the missioning career. It involves some frigates but mostly cruisers at this point of the game. Mission rewards are greater than lvl 1 missions but since you need a better ship the risks are greater if you blow up your ship/

Lvl 3 missions-(Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleship)- You will be fighting some frigates as usual with some cruisers but now you also going head to head with some battlecruisers who are capable of hitting quite hard. At this point in the game there is nothing new to learn, the missions are just getting harder. Although you should start to use hardeners especially if your a armor tank. Hardeners reduce damage taken from the damage class your hardeners were constructed for.

Lvl 4 missions- (Battleship)-These missions get quite hard since you are dealing with battleships. They hit hard and can take a while to down if done wrong. Risks here are unprecedented due to the fact the frigates will warp scramble you. Assuming you are familiar with other mission that when you get low in health you just warp out. In this case if they warp scramble you and you are low on health you cannot warp out, unless you kill the frigate warp scrambling g you you can just sit there and watch yourself die.

They alsp will use stasis webifiers on you. ALthough you can still warp out with these on you it will be extremely slow since the will slow you down to a crawl. This ca mean the life or death of your ship.

    Lvl 5 missions-(Carrier

In all missions the order to kill off the npc's is frigate-cruiser-battleship. You always want to take the frigates out first because if worse comes to worse you can always warp out since cruisers annd above will not web or stasis webify you. The most they do is dampen your signal which isnt as big of a dead than the others.

Bounties-Each npc pirate will have a bountie on it unless it is a faction ship such al Minmatar, Caldari, ect... In order to collect on these bounties all you need to do is kill of the npc and the bountie will be transfered to your wallet. Once you get into lvl 4 missions it is a fast way to make money since somebounties will be over 1 million isk

Mission Quality-This determines the payouts of the missions in rewards and the bounties on the ships. These range from -18--18. -18 being the worst and 18 being the best, highest quality agent around. You always want to work for the Higher quality agents although keep in ind you will have to do some missions that are harder than all the rest so you might need to get a fall guy <cough> friend:) to come help.

    Drones

Drones are extremely important to have if you are flying a Gallente ship. This is were most of your dps will come from depending what ship your flying. But drone rules are as follows:

    Light Scout drones: Frigates Destroyers.

    Medium Scout Drones: Cruisers, Battlecruisers

    Heavy combat Drones: Battleships.

    Ammunition & Charges

It is always best imho to carry three types of charges for guns.

    Long Range Charges (Iron)
    Medium Rang Charges (Lead)
    Short Range Charges (Antimatter)

Same thing with missiles except that they have all the same ranges. But they do different damages which will effect each ship in a differant manner, either doing more or less damge.

    Rigs

Unless this is an alternate rigs are not economically feasible until you get to lvl 3 missions o have a Hulk to mine the money with. imho the best rigs are for armor repairers if your a armor tank.

and Sheild rigs if your a shield tank.

Should I warp out or stay?

It all depends what kind of tank you are. If you are a shield tank you will want to warp out at about 30% shields left. If your a armor tank you will want to warp out when you have about 30% armor left.

because this is your tanking are it should never be broken, it is the strongest defense u will have and if you know it will break get your ship out of there.

    How to Tank

What is Tank. To tank means to be able to heal more damage than you recieve basically. There are 2 different types of tanks i am aware of and have experience with.

A Armor tank and a Shield tank.

For all tanks though Capacitor is always a issue so alway smake sure you have a stable capacitor or one that last smor ethan 10 minutes before charging valiantly into your own slaughter.

    Shield Tanking

In the first few missions tanking isn't really a necessity, to a point it is but no real effort needs to be expended to tank until lvl 4 missions. For a shield tank you need to equip almost every low and medium slot you have until lvl 4 mission with shield recharges and shield power relays. I have no experience tanking lvl 4 missions with a shield so ill edit this when i can and have a stratagy.

    Armor Tanking

As for Armor tank you need to purchase hardeners and armor repairers.

When it comes to tanking there are these things called resistances. they range from 0-100. 0 begin you have none and 100 being your fully resist, unfortunately the Eve Online Development team doesn't allow 100% resistances.

Capacitor is more of a issue here since your armor repairers are a capacitor hog. The issue about the capacitor is it is used for everything. If you run out of capacitor:

    -you cannot warp out.
-you cannot use your armor repairers.
    -you cannot fire your guns.
-you cannot use your armor hardeners.
    -you will probably die.

To lengthen the life of your capacitor you will want to use Capacitor re-chargers and Capacitor power relays. these will decrease the capacitor recharge time and hasten the time it takes to recharge.

With the perfect set up the armor repairer can run indefinitely and running out of capacitor will be a thing of the past.

Another thing to remember while tanking is to never sit still, always keep moving. If you get warp scrambled or webbed you must do everything in your power to kill the guys doing this to you. If you get webbed you will get hit more and will get hit harder, this makes it extremely more difficult to tank although you can tank somewhat while stationary but it is HIGHLY not recommended.

Whatever else you need to know can only be gained by experience. Take a look at the recommended sites and get familiar with them

    They are here :https://newedensyndicate.board-directory.net/private-matters-f5/eve-webste-to-know-about-t72.htm

With all this knowledge i wish you the best and i hope to see you in Eve Online.

    Good Luck!
